Charmey, nestled in the heart of the Fribourg mountains in the Gruyère region, offers a wide range of activities and events throughout the summer. It's a real paradise for families and mountain enthusiasts, offering a variety of activities such as the Colline des enfants, accrobranche, via ferrata and numerous hiking trails. It's the ideal place to get together and enjoy long summer evenings. From May to October, our extended opening hours allow you to enjoy a fine meal or take part in our summer events while admiring the sunset.

National Day at the Summit

Celebrate Bastille Day at the summit of Vounetz. On July 31 and August 1, a rich and varied program awaits you at the top of the lifts to celebrate Switzerland and its traditions. During these two days of festivities, come and test your knowledge of our beautiful country and enjoy a host of free events such as flag throwing, Alphorn playing, a fire show and cheese tasting, all in a magnificent setting.

Waouh Open Air: Open-Air cinema for families

From August 2 to 11, enjoy a unique open-air cinema experience in the middle of the mountains with Waouh Open air. For over a week, a selection of films will be screened free of charge every day in the late afternoon at the top of the lifts. In partnership with La Lanterne Magique, we've put together a captivating program for families, with films and entertainment to keep young and old entertained throughout the vacations.

Open Air shows

This summer, a host of open-air shows await you at the summit of Vounetz. Circus artists and acrobats will amaze you with their performances, bringing a touch of magic and dynamism to your days in the mountains.

Not-to-be-missed events

In summer, take advantage of the evening openings to extend your evenings. On Fridays, the Dents-Vertes restaurant offers gourmet evenings where you can enjoy delicious cheese or meat fondues, or crispy röstis! The perfect opportunity for those who have boarded a cabin for an original card game every last Friday of the month!

Every Saturday evening, don't miss our tartar evenings at the summit of Vounetz. It's a not-to-be-missed summer rendezvous that combines gastronomy and panoramic views.

On Sundays, as a family, a couple or a group of friends, any occasion is the perfect opportunity to share a convivial moment over brunch. Whether it's a day of sports, relaxation or activities with the kids, our all-you-can-eat buffet is the perfect way to make your Sunday perfect.
