Autumn in Charmey

Autumn is upon us, and with it Charmey is transformed into a veritable paradise for lovers of nature and relaxation. Situated in the heart of the Fribourg Pre-Alps, the resort invites you to rediscover the mountains through a multitude of activities and events specially designed to make the most of this colourful season.

Activities to suit all tastes

Whether you like nature, adventure or relaxation, Charmey offers a variety of activities to make the most of autumn. With new events and activities, there's always something to discover. One of the season's must-dos is Swin Golf, an autumn activity awaiting you at the summit of Vounetz. This 9-hole course, offering panoramic views of the flamboyant Pre-Alps landscape, is open to all. From now until 27 October, you can enjoy this friendly game free of charge, ideal for sharing good times with friends and family.

Events and mad pumpkins

Autumn in Charmey also means festivities from 28 September to 27 October! To mark the occasion, pumpkins are in the spotlight. At the top of Vounetz, the events take on a fairground atmosphere, with free activities for young and old. Sack races, balance courses and many other surprises await you in an incredible ephemeral setting.

Did you know that in 2023, the two biggest squashes were grown in Switzerland, weighing in at 953 kg and 675 kg respectively? Impressive, isn't it? Don't miss our giant squash at Pumpkin Madness and try to guess its weight in our competition!

Evening events: a unique experience

As the days shorten, Charmey's nightlife begins. Every weekend until the end of October, take advantage of the extended opening hours to admire the sunsets over the Fribourg Pre-Alps and the autumn colours of the mountains. It's the perfect time to make the most of the last few days before the onset of the winter season.

At the summit, don't miss the gourmet evenings every Friday and the Tartar evenings on Saturdays at the Restaurant Les Dents-Vertes, for convivial and tasty moments.

The different routes offer breathtaking panoramas, allowing you to discover the mountain in its most beautiful light.
