Registration for services offered by the Swiss Ski School Charmey implies acceptance of these conditions.
General Terms and Conditions Swiss Ski School
1. INSTRUCTORS
ESS Charmey undertakes to certify that all its instructors are fit and competent to teach skiing and related disciplines. All ESS Charmey instructors have undergone training validated by Swiss Snowsports, Jeunesse et Sport and/or the Charmey Swiss Ski School. Any other equivalent training may be taken into account when admitting a new employee.
2. RATES
ESS Charmey's prices are displayed on our website, on booking confirmations and on the ski school's various communication documents.
The prices shown include the teaching provided by ESS Charmey instructors and exclude all other services (insurance, lift passes, equipment, transport and meals except those mentioned).
3. PaYMENT
Lessons are cashed at the time of booking.
Payment can be made by any of the following methods:
- On our website: Postcard, Visa, Twint, Mastercard, American Express,
- On site: Credit cards (Maestro, Postcard, Visa Mastercard), Cash, Gift voucher, Twint
4. Specific course conditions
- Group classes are held with a minimum of 4 participants, except for special group classes where the minimum number of participants may be reduced.
- If the number of students is deemed insufficient to organize a group course, it may be cancelled. In this case, participants will be notified individually.
- The duration of the course includes travel and waiting time at the lifts. Instructors are not obliged to wait for latecomers at the start of group lessons.
- Group lessons are given in French.
- In private lessons, the instructor will speak the student's preferred language, subject to availability.
5. Cancellation or interruption by ESS Charmey
ESS Charmey reserves the right to postpone or cancel one or more courses under the following conditions:
- Exceptional weather conditions
- Closure of the ski area
- Inability to access the resort by road
- Insufficient number of participants to organize a group lesson
- If ESS Charmey is no longer able to provide the services booked by the customer.
If conditions do not allow courses to be held at Charmey, they may be moved to another resort. In this case, customers will be notified as soon as possible and the relocation is their responsibility.
If the lessons are cancelled, ESS Charmey undertakes to reschedule the cancelled lessons, provide a gift voucher or refund the customer.
6. Cancellation or interruption by the customer
Course registration is valid only for the dates, times and services indicated on the booking confirmation.
In the event of the student's absence at the start of the course, the price of the course will not be reimbursed and the course will not be exchanged for another.
All course cancellation requests will be taken into consideration and reimbursed in accordance with the conditions below. We recommend that you subscribe to the refund option when purchasing your lessons (details below).
- More than 48 hours before the course: free rescheduling or cancellation
- Less than 48 hours before the course: rescheduling or cancellation only with refund option.
In the event of illness or accident, the customer undertakes to notify us of the absence as soon as possible, but no later than 1 hour before the start of the lesson.
7. Liability
ESS Charmey accepts no liability for accidents. All participants must have their own accident insurance. Helmets are strongly recommended on all our courses.
8. Image rights
The customer gives TéléCharmey SA permission to publish, exhibit or distribute the photographs and videos taken during the course. This authorization is valid for any use (publications, website, etc.).
If you do not wish to give your authorization, please let us know.
9. Conflicts
The parties will endeavour to resolve any difficulties that may arise in the performance of the contract amicably. Should an amicable agreement not be reached, Swiss law shall be exclusively applicable.
General terms and conditions
1. sold SERVICES
These general terms and conditions of sale apply automatically to all purchases of services (ski lessons, snowboarding, etc.) via our website and define the terms and conditions of our intervention as well as the respective obligations of the parties.
2. ORDER
Any validation of the order on our site and of the payment made implies the acceptance, without reserve, of the present general conditions.
All orders are made by means of our online order form, duly completed in all mandatory fields (indicated with an asterisk). Failure to do so will result in non-validation of the order.
The services ordered remain the property of ESS Charmey until full payment has been received.
3. PriCES
The prices of our products are in CHF. All orders are payable in CHF. VAT is included in the price, and your payment will be confirmed by a debit advice from your paying agent.
ESS Charmey reserves the right to modify its prices at any time without prior notice. However, services will be invoiced on the basis of the rates in force on the day orders are registered, subject to availability.
In the case of orders from countries other than Switzerland, if local duties or taxes are payable, the payment of these duties and taxes is the responsibility of the customer. At no time will ESS Charmey be liable for these sums. You are solely responsible for any related administrative procedures.
4. PaYMENT
The price is payable in full at the time of order, by the means of payment set up on our website (Visa, Mastercard, Postcard, Twint). Online payments are secured by the Boukii Pay payment system.
5. AVAILABILITY
Our offers of services and prices are valid as long as they are visible on the site, subject to availability.
If a service is unavailable after you have placed your order, we will inform you by email or telephone as soon as possible. You can then request cancellation or reimbursement of your order.
6. Delivery
The services ordered (registrations) will be taken into account as soon as payment is received. The buyer will be informed immediately of any major changes.
7. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with Swiss law, any person having placed an order on a Swiss site has a period of 7 [calendar] days to exercise his right of withdrawal. This period starts from the date of validation of your payment.
8. Data protection
The information provided by the customer is essential for processing the order and will be sent to the publisher for the subscription to be activated. The customer has the right to access and rectify this information by contacting the publisher: Charmey Swiss Ski School.
Your e-mail address may be used for marketing purposes, to which you may object at any time.
9. Intellectual property
All texts, comments and images reproduced on the https://www.charmey.ch/ website are reserved under copyright and intellectual property laws worldwide. Reproduction in whole or in part of any of the content shown is strictly prohibited.
10. Liability
The services offered comply with current Swiss legislation.
ESS Charmey cannot be held responsible for non-performance of the contract concluded in the event of force majeure, disruption or total or partial strike, in particular of means of transport and/or means of communication, flood, fire. SSE Charmey may refund payment in the event of cancellation through its fault of all or part of the services which cannot be rescheduled to a later date if there is no longer any possibility of carrying out the services paid for.
11. Applicable law and disputes
This contract is subject to Swiss law. The language of this contract is French. In the event of a dispute, the Swiss courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
12. Modification of the general sales conditions
The Charmey Swiss Ski School reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions of sale at any time.
The terms and conditions of sale applicable are those appearing online on the day the order is placed.
