Picnic
Looking for a well-deserved break?

Outdoor picnic
At the foot of the lifts or at the summit, via the intermediary, there's no shortage of picnic tables in Charmey!
Whether you prefer to stop close to our activities, or rather in the heart of nature, along a path, you'll always find the perfect place for your gourmet breaks.
At the Embarcadère, located near the intermediary of the gondola and close to the accrobranche courses, numerous shaded tables have been installed. The ideal place to grab a bite to eat before setting off on your adventure!

to respect is to protect
Waste left in nature not only damages the beauty of natural landscapes, it also harms plants and animals, and pollutes the environment.
At Charmey, we love to enjoy nature, but we also love to preserve it.
So please, don't leave your garbage behind. She'll pay you back!

a little treat for dessert?
Picnics are nice, but nothing beats the pleasure of a gourmet dessert or a beer on the terrace, right?
did you know?
Every year, tons of waste - including packaging, hiking gear and picnic leftovers - are dumped in the mountains.
Number of waste
A study by the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment reveals that around 14,000 tonnes of plastic enter Swiss soil and waterways every year. Around 2,700 tonnes of this is the result of littering, the irresponsible dumping of waste in the environment.
Pick up your cigarette butt, save 500 liters of water
Despite awareness-raising efforts and clean-up campaigns, cigarette butts continue to pollute mountain environments, posing serious ecological challenges
- Impact on flora and fauna: Cigarette butts contain toxic chemicals such as nicotine, tar and other harmful substances. When left in the mountains, they contaminate soil and water, endangering the lives of plants and animals.
- Fire hazard: In times of drought, a poorly extinguished cigarette butt can trigger a devastating mountain fire, threatening fragile ecosystems.
- Visual degradation: As well as posing a threat to environmental health, abandoned cigarette butts in the mountains also degrade our landscapes.
summit foundation
The Summit Foundation, a Swiss non-profit environmental foundation, is involved in the fight against littering in Switzerland, coordinating the "Clean-Up Tour", a series of litter pick-ups in the mountains throughout the country, including the annual event in Charmey.
