Une famille en randonnée à Charmey

Hiking tours

Numerous itineraries invite you to discover Charmey, the ideal place for nature lovers. Whether you're looking for a short family hike, a more adventurous adventure or an escapade between fields and forests, our itineraries cater for all tastes and abilities.

Discover our suggestions for easy-access hikes that take you to the top of our lifts. See the individual pages for details! To find your way around, look for the colored stickers on the yellow signs along the footpaths.

Some itineraries can be shortened by taking the intermediate gondola. So it's easy to combine routes to suit your time, mood and condition!

Which hike to choose?

Walking with children

Le Ganet: this itinerary can be shortened by taking the intermediate gondola for tired legs. It also passes by the Embarcadère, offering free activities, a snack bar and a picnic area.

Panorama de Vounetz: an easy loop of less than an hour around the summit

I want to exercise

La Vatia: climbing the Vanil Blanc ridge
Le Drotzu: a slightly more difficult and steep path
Pré-de-l'Essert: the longest route

I'M LOOKING FOR SHADE

La Vatia: a good part of the trail is in the forest on the Vanil Blanc ridge
Les Reposoirs: a slightly longer route through a magnificent forest

Typical architecture interests me

La Chéta: passes by 2 traditional chalets
Pré-de-l'Essert: takes you to a lovely little chapel

I'M LOOKING FOR THE MOST DIRECT CHARMEY-VOUNETZ ROUTE

La Vatia: via the Vanil Blanc ridge
Le Drotzu: for more experienced hikers

I'd like to walk to the intermediary

Le Ganet: this route will take you to the intermediary in 1 hour and 25 minutes
La Chéta: this 1-hour and 25-minute route requires you to take the Ganet route from the Gros Ganet chalet to the intermediary

I WOULD LIKE TO STOP AT L'AUBERGE TISSINIVA

Panorama: a loop from the summit of Vounetz
La Vatia: the most direct route to/from the village
Les Reposoirs: a longer route through a magnificent forest
